Background and Aim: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) have been proposed as a driving force of tumor initiation, dissemination drug resistance. The protease inhibitor SerpinB3 (SB3) has involved in the early events hepatocarcinogenesis, is highly expressed hepatic progenitor cells. However, only limited information on possible role SB3 cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) stem-like compartment available.
